Document Synchronization
Enhanced Document Generation Capabilities
Enhance your iManage Power Automate workflows by integrating document generation capabilities into the process, improving efficiency and accuracy.

For instance, when the sales team generates documents in Salesforce, copies are seamlessly saved into the legal team’s iManage folder, optimizing productivity and compliance without disrupting user workflows.
Example 2
The IT and support team want to generate documents from ServiceNow but need to save the final copy back into iManage. They can create a Power platform workflow and add document generation.
Why automation powers your data strategy
As businesses look to navigate the Gen AI landscape effectively and become more data-centric and agile, accessing structured data can be easier said than done since much of the information can be found in documents rather than systems.
Automating your business letters, agreements, and forms ensures consistent, risk-free documentation and generates structured, verified data perfectly tailored to each client, team, or business function. This reusable data can help predict new ways to improve your services and show what is happening in the business—who is creating what, when and how. These valuable insights help develop client relationships, remove sales blockers, manage risk and get deals done faster.
Embrace the efficiency of Kim and iManage integration to enhance your document management processes. Whether you are inside or outside of iManage, our solution offers a streamlined, compliant, and user-friendly way to handle documents at every step.
How it works
Scenario One: Integration for iManage Users
In-App Creation - Generate your document from within iManage.
If you’re an iManage user, creating new documents is straightforward. For example, when you need a new distribution agreement for a specific matter:
- Start in iManage: Navigate to the matter you are dealing with.
- Create a document from an automated template: Select ‘Create Document’ in the action menu. This will present a range of documents you can automate based on your access rights—from client engagement letters to NDAs and commercial contracts.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) Convenience: If SSO is enabled, proceed directly to the document form. Without SSO, enter the access code provided.
- Fill in a form with the characteristics of a transaction: The contract not only includes the right party names, etc., but it also contains logic to include the correct clause permutations based on the transaction.
- Submit and Generate: Submit the form to auto-generate the document natively in MS Word, including formatting, styles and Table of Contents.
- Review and Continue: The new document appears in the iManage workspace.
Scenario Two: Enabling Document Automation Outside iManage
Different teams operating in different systems want to generate a document but also save a version in iManage.
- Integration with Other Systems: Suppose you’re using Salesforce. To initiate document creation, click a link within Salesforce.
- Access Through Single Sign-On: If SSO is enabled, you’ll be redirected directly. If not, you’ll be sent a unique access code.
- Fill in a form with the characteristics of a transaction: The contract not only includes the right party names, etc., but it also contains logic to include the correct clause permutations based on the transaction.
- Submit and Distribute: Once submitted, the document is available in MS Word or PDF format. Meanwhile, it’s automatically filed back in iManage, ensuring it resides in the correct folder for auditing and compliance.

What people say
Andrew Powell, CIO
We are using Kim Document to automate our supplier questionnaires and related documents as part of our vendor onboarding process. It was quick to make live and has helped reduce time and effort onboarding new suppliers.
Tony McKenna, Director of Information Technology
Kim Document, for us, was a no-brainer due to the simplicity of use and the attractive price point. Kim will help the firm automate those documents that aren’t high value enough to justify a full-blown document automation platform but where they would still like control over the data collected.
CISO, International Bank
Kim gives organizations the ability to have no-code form creation which enables unstructured data to be put in a structured format.
Ann Pruitt, Executive Director
Kim’s no-code Document and Automation-as-a Service Platform empowered us to automate our legal helpline process, enabling our service to scale exponentially and allowing team members to deliver value at the highest level.
